Bookings/Enquiries  
When you have made your choice of cottage and dates please contact Special Places by fax or telephone on + 44 (0) 1872 864400, or send an e-mail stating your name, address, telephone number, choice of cottage, and preferred dates.

Subject to availability a provisional booking can then be arranged by phone, fax or e-mail. The booking form can be sent to you by post or e-mail. This should be completed and returned by post together with a deposit cheque, or sent by email or fax with credit or debit card details completed

We are happy to take payment by credit card, but we do have to add a 1.5% fee on each transaction. Nothing is charged for debit cards.   We are sorry but we are unable to take American Express.

On receipt of the payment and booking form the reservation  will be confirmed in writing.

If your holiday is further than one month away, please send approximately one third of the total amount with the form. The remainder is due one month before the holiday, together with the damage/service deposit. If you are booking within one month of your holiday, please enclose the total amount with the form. On receipt of the total rental, directions and arrival arrangements will be sent.

Please note: Our office hours are flexible. The office is manned during working hours, but we can often also be reached during the evenings and weekends. If you should get the answerphone, please leave a message and we will return your call.

Cancellation: We advise you to take out cancellation insurance. When we send the confirmation of booking we will send you details of a recommended Cancellation Plan.

 Equipment  
Each cottage is generously equipped and furnished for the number of guests it takes. All of them have a good cooker, fridge, iron and board, toaster, kettle, TV etc; most also have microwave, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, telephone, BBQ; some have freezer, video - see individual descriptions. If there is a garden, balcony or patio at the cottage, you can safely assume there is also garden furniture and a pleasant area to sit outside. Please ring if you need clarification. Information books and leaflets are in all the cottages.
