PERRANWELL is tucked away in lanes
about half way between Truro and Falmouth. A ‘Proper Cornish Village’,
with Post Office/stores and an excellent pub. Streams run through the
village, and two of our houses have them running by the gardens. Two sailing
schools are in the area and there are several good golf courses. A branch line train, which runs
between Truro and Falmouth, stops at Perranwell, so if you decide to leave
your car at home, you can still explore Cornwall.

TRURO The Cornish are rightly proud
of their beautiful historic Cathedral City capital. Truro is a thriving
market town with an assortment of shops and amenities. Just outside Truro, where the Truro and Tresillian
rivers meet, is MALPAS, a quiet and small riverside village. Malpas has
a picturesque pub overlooking the river, a Post Office/stores, a small
marina and facilities for hiring boats.

FEOCK is a beautiful village set around
the creeks of the Fal Estuary, 5 miles south of Truro and 7 miles north
of Falmouth. It has a Post Office/stores and Church. A Sailing and Watersports
School is located at Loe Beach. The National Trust gardens of Trelissick
and the King Harry Ferry are at Feock, and the area is a wonderful setting
for artists, walkers and birdwatchers. Restronguet Creek is the largest
of the creeks, and a haven for sheltered boating and birdlife. The famous
Pandora Inn is to be found on the Mylor side of this Creek.

King
Harry Ferry takes passengers and cars across the wooded estuary
of the River Fal and is a convenient link for our area.

ST. MAWES is a picturesque waterside fishing village on the
unspoilt Roseland Peninsula offering safe sandy beaches, boating, fishing,
walks, and fine sailing waters. Small shops, pubs and restaurants nestle
around the harbour. Many of our out-of-season visitors to St. Mawes are
writers or artists, who come here to work in beautiful and sub-tropical
surroundings. A magnificent King Henry VIII Castle is on the headland
at St. Mawes.

ST. JUST IN ROSELAND is 2 ˝ miles from St. Mawes and is one
of the jewels of Cornwall. Of the little church situated amongst camellias
and hydrangeas right by the water, Betjeman wrote, “to many people the
most beautiful churchyard on earth”. This is a very peaceful area, within
easy reach of the whole of the Roseland Peninsula and its wealth of safe
sandy beaches and walks.

FALMOUTH and Carrick Roads form one of the finest natural havens
in the world, with sheltered sailing waters, wonderful beaches and walks.
The visitor to Falmouth can explore the network of bays and rivers by
boat from the Quay. The surrounding coastline and countryside is magnificent.

FLUSHING is a stunningly picturesque waterside village on the
opposite shores to Falmouth. It is calm and tranquil with a fine restaurant,
two pubs and a Post Office/village stores. A regular ferry runs to and
from Falmouth, from where you can join the network of expeditions by boat
all around the Falmouth Bay and estuary. Flushing is popular with boating
enthusiasts, and is also a haven for those wishing to find a small peaceful
village.
