| Tinker Taylor is a listed traditional
thatched Cornish Cottage situated in an area of outstanding beauty
in one of the last few unspoilt coves in Cornwall. It is also a popular
surfing area with quite tranquil coastal walks within the National
Trust (Land’s End 1 mile). The heritage coastline makes this an unbeatable
venue for many activities including walking, sea sports, golf and
bird watching; or just relaxing if you prefer. |

|
| There are many glorious sandy beaches
and rocky coves with crystal clear water; rugged cliffs; heather moorlands;
wooded valleys and green fields. Within a 10-mile radius are many
picturesque coves and fishing villages such as Cape Cornwall, Penzance
town is nearby where you can board boat or helicopter to the beautiful
Isles of Scilly or travel there from nearby Land’s End airfield or
on the local Skybus aircraft. Just outside Penzance is the stunning
St. Michael’s Mount. Clearly visible from the main A30 road as you
enter the Penzance area, the Mount can be reached by boat when the
tide is in, or, if the tide is out, by walking across the causeway
from the village of Marazion. |
| Of the many local attractions, those
nearest include; Land’s End, Minack Theatre, St. Michael’s Mount,
St. Ives Tate Gallery and Paradise Park bird sanctuary. The area is
also noted for its wealth of ancient monuments including stone circles,
chamber tombs and standing stones. |

| Ground floor consists of a kitchen/breakfast
room, dining room, snug with double bed settee, lounge, and large
conservatory/2nd lounge looking out to the enclosed walled garden. |
| First floor consists of a double
en-suite room with large shower and single put you up, bedroom 2,
double bed with a single bed, bedroom 3, double bed, full size single
bunk beds, bathroom with separate shower, extra toilet. Central heating
is included in the tariff, as is the quality bed linen/hand towels
and electricity. Also there is private parking for two cars. |

| We find the easiest route is to turn
off the motorway at Exeter M5 onto the A30 to Oakhampton. Continue
on the A30 (mostly dual carriageway) passing Bodmin and Turo. Then
on to Penzance; continue along the A30 towards Land’s End, you will
come into a village called Sennen turn right to Sennen Cove. The cottage
will be found on your left hand side opposite the lifeboat station
at the end of this road. Sennen Cove is 1 mile before Land’s end and
8 miles out of Penzance town centre. (In short stay on the A30 until
you get wet!! And you will have gone one mile to far) |
