This picturesque country cottage, at the head of the Helford river, is in the small village of Gweek, which has a boatyard specialising in historic wooden boat restoration, a post office & shop, pub and tea gardens. It is also famous for it's Seal Sanctuary.

The cottage stands in a secluded garden surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, wildflowers, roses, jasmine and blackberries. There is a small veranda at the side of the house for eating that late and lazy breakfast in the sun. Parking is off road.

It is a family home, simply decorated and furnished. There are 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with 2 singles. Bathroom with shower and bath. Downstairs the large sitting room has an open fire at one end and woodburner at the other, logs provided. There is a television, video machine, games and toys. The kitchen has a solid fuel Rayburn, gas cooker, fridge, freezer and washing machine. The kitchen opens upwards to a gallery area lined with books.

Pillows, duvets + bed linen provided.

Gweek is ideally situated for exploring the unspoilt Helford river with opportunities for sailing, canoeing and walking. The nearby Lizard peninsula, an ancient landscape dotted with iron age forts, standing stones and Fogou, magnificent beaches and coves. A naturalists paradise.
