Welcome to Copperhouse - The Old Stables, Gwennap nr Redruth
Originally a detached Coach House and Stables, which has just undergone a 3 year renovation project to provide luxury holiday letting accommodation for up to 10 people+cot. It stands within the grounds of "The Copperhouse" a grade II listed building built around 1780. This idyillic rural position is set vaguely in the centre of a triangle between Truro - Falmouth - Redruth with the beaches of the South Coast 5 miles, the North Coast 8 miles and Lands End 20 miles making it perhaps one of the best central positions for visiting the whole of Cornwall.

The Copperhouse stands in the same grounds as The Old Stables and features a huge iron clad Strongroom and it is said that the World Copper Price was set from here each morning. Now granted Mining World Heritage status, the parish of Gwennap was once said to be "the richest couple of square miles in the world. With the decline of Mining in the mid to late 1800,s The Copperhouse reverted to a country house Originally part of the Burncoose Landed Estate with the Chelsea award winning Nurseries adjacent. It now stands in its own secluded grounds surrounded by many species of Camelias and Rhodedendrons.
