Lodge Cottage

Lodge Cottage is a cosy detached cottage located in the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Porthleven. It is set in almost an acre of gardens which it shares with a large imposing property that was once a Vicarage. There is a hard surface tennis court in the grounds, that guests can use, and ample parking.

The cottage consists of a large lounge comfortably furnished with twin sofas, wood-burner and TV/video with views onto the secluded patio.

There is a spacious dining room with patio views, a modern kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, and a small bathroom with WC and shower.

The two connecting bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles, are provided with bed linen.

The ambience of the cottage is cosy and pictures, plants and bric-a-brac add charm to the rooms. The private patio, which has barbequing facilities and enjoys the sun for most of the day, is ideal for eating al fresco.

Heating is supplied by £1 coin slot meter. There are night storage heaters and a wood-burner for the winter months, while electric heaters can be used in any of the rooms for additional warmth.

We regret that we do not accept pets and we request only non-smokers.

About Porthleven

Lodge Cottage is located in the centre of the unspoilt fishing village of Porthleven and are within 5 minutes walk of the harbour front.

The village is picturesque with its shops, pubs, restaurants and pottery studios.

The beaches, located on the edge of the village are sandy and uncrowded. Along the beach from the village is Loe Bar and Pool, an impressive freshwater lake separated from the sea by a wide sand bar. The wooded walk around the lake on the Penrose Estate is some five miles long.

Coastal paths are excellent for those preferring a more strenuous holiday. Porthleven is a sleepy village and is very peaceful. It is not recommended for those wishing a highly active social life.

Places to Visit
