Atlantic View - Port Isaac

Atlantic View is a 5-bedroom house in the village of Port Isaac, Cornwall. It sleeps up to 11 people. Port Isaac is a beautiful fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall and is close to some of best beaches in Cornwall. It has one of Cornwall’s most attractive harbours and superb coastal scenery. Port Isaac is approximately 1 hour’s drive from Exeter.

5 bedrooms: 2 double rooms with extra single beds, one double room, 1 twin room and 1 small single room.
Bathrooms
1 bathroom with toilet (first floor); 1 shower room with toilet (ground floor).
Kitchen
Refurbished in 2007 with new appliances: fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave, cooker, hob.
Dining Room
Large oak table, chairs and Welsh dresser.
Outside
Patio and parking for 2 cars.
Sitting Room
TV; video recorder; DVD player.
Heating
Electric heaters in every room. Duo heaters in the downstairs rooms. Wood-burner in the sitting room.

Smoking
Pets not allowed; we have a no smoking policy in the house.
Change
over day
Saturday (part-week and weekends may be available out of season).
Cleaning
A cleaner is included in the prices.
Charges

Rates for the house are worked out per week and vary according to the number of people staying and the time of the year.

The charge for 2009 is £15 per person per night, with a minimum amount as follows:

Early July = £735
Late July and August = £1155
September = £630
October = £420
October half term = £525
November - December = £210
Christmas, New Year, Easter = £630
Babies under 1 year are not charged.

Electricity is not included, and is paid following the visit
(13p per unit used).

In Port Isaac You Can Find

A delicatessen (with home-made pasties and bread) within 20 metres of the house).
A variety of local artists' studios and gift shops.
Local fish cellars - selling fresh fish and shellfish (5 minutes walk).
A children’s playground (5 minutes walk).
A number of pubs (2 minutes walk).
A Co-op (5 minutes walk).
Some excellent restaurants (2 - 3 minutes walk).
Coffee shops (2 minutes walk).
Local Area
There are many things to do in the local area:

Fishing trips from Port Isaac harbour.
Port Gaverne beach (10 minutes walk from the house).
Surfing at Polzeath beach or Trebarwith beach (both approx. 15 minutes drive away).
Sailing and wind-surfing at Rock.
At a low spring tide, visiting Lundy Bay to swim or collect mussels.
Walking around The Rumps and Pentire Head, near Polzeath.
Sand dunes at Daymer Bay and the old church at St Enodoc, which used to be buried in the sand.
Passenger ferry from Rock to Padstow.
Cycling down the Camel Trail from Padstow to Wadebridge, or vice versa.
On Thursday evenings in the summer St Breward silver band gives a small concert by the harbour, then plays the Flora Dance as it marches up the hill and back again.
Listening to the "Fisherman's Friends" singing sea shanties by the sea on summer evenings.
Children's playground, fruit farm and cafe at farm opposite St Endellion Church.
Golf and sailing within easy reach by car.
