Quality Cottages in Beautiful Countryside only two miles from the coast |
|
|
| Set in idyllic Cornish countryside between Looe
and Polperro, Polean Farm offers charming, quality holiday cottages
just two miles from the coast. Whether you are searching for
a fun family holiday or a relaxing rural retreat, Polean Farm
is the perfect destination to experience all that Cornwall has
to offer. You can enjoy peaceful walks across the farm and along
the beautiful coastline or visit the nearby beaches and fishing
villages. The children will enjoy the playground and indoor
playroom, along with the toy tractors that they can ride around
the courtyard. They will also love helping us feed the animals
and will look forward to the pony or tractor rides around the
farm. |
| In winter you can relax in-front of a log fire in the cottages or in one of the cosy local public houses. Or you can visit one of many local attractions, or enjoy peaceful walks across the beautiful countryside and along the stunning coastline. |
|
| The Farm |
| Polean farm is located down green lanes off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst 150 acres of rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. The 18th century former barns have been converted into spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated cottages set around a pretty courtyard. Just one of the many delightful walks over the farm leads along the River Pol (where you can sometimes spot otters, badgers, foxes and deer) to the quaint little fishing village of Polperro (with its shops and five public houses). |
| Bonny the farm dog will be there to greet you when you arrive - and if you are coming in winter, remember to bring your wellies! |
| Just over a mile walk down a green lane leads to Pelynt's food shops and fine old coaching inn, which serves superb home cooked food and locally caught fish. The inn has a large beer garden and is open for lunch and evening meals. Charming Looe (4 miles away) boasts a large sandy beach, good shops, galleries and restaurants and a bustling quayside where you can get boat rides, or buy freshly caught fish (to cook yourself or ready fried from the superb chippy). |
| The farm’s fields are used for grazing the horses from the equestrian centre and for growing hay. Guests are welcome to stroll across the fields and can always find an empty field for a private picnic or to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. |
