Out and About
The Eden Project St AustellMellon is approximately 6 miles from the A30 and in complete contrast to the moor the dramatic North coast with sandy, surfing beaches and breathtaking coastal walks, is 9 miles.
The popular fishing villages of Padstow, Boscastle and Port Isaac and the quest for King Arthur at Tintagel are within a short drive. The nearest beaches are at Trebarwith and Polzeath.

Walking - Our location is excellent, with direct level access to the open moor. There are meadow footpaths from the cottage door that join moorland walks to the upper wooded valley of the River Camel, across the moor to climb Brown Willy (Cornwall's highest point) or Row Tor (National Trust) with splendid views. This area has much archaeological interest. Many remains of prehistoric man can be explored within walking distance - King Arthur's Hall, stone circles and Middle Moor Cross are just a few.

Cycling - The Cornish Way (National Cycle Route 3) passes the farm, south to join the Camel Trail (4 miles) or north to Bude via Camelford.
The Camel Trail - An 18 mile traffic free recreational route along the beautiful River Camel valley, commencing at Poley's bridge, Bodmin Moor (4 miles) via Bodmin and Wadebridge to the Atlantic Sea at Padstow. Cycle hire can be arranged locally or at Wadebridge.
