mining heritage. Excellent walking, especially on the South West Coastal
Path, bird watching and fishing are right on the doorstep and the
well-serviced village of Pelynt is only a 1/4 mile away. The area
boasts some of the best restaurants and pubs in the entire South West,
serving mouth-watering local produce along with a great selection
of real ales. You could, of course, just relax around the farm or
in the sauna and jacuzzi with a good book! |

| Our delightful holiday cottages |
We have five charming
cottages at Hendra Farm.
There are three one-bedroom cottages which sleep two, which are all
on one level with no stairs, and two have wheelchair access. There
is also a two bedroom cottage sleeping four and another larger two
bedroom cottage which also sleeps four. We endeavour to provide very
well equipped accommodation, with cleanliness being our utmost priority,
as our visitors' books will testify - we pride ourselves on achieving
a score of 100% for cleanliness on every Visit Britain grading assessment
we have undergone. |
| Each cottage is beautifully furnished and has
a colour TV with Freeview, video and DVD player, CD stereo, microwave
and hairdryer. All cottages have central heating and a bath and shower.
There are lawns and patios with garden furniture and wonderful countryside
views. Centrally located are a fully equipped laundry and a luxurious
indoor jacuzzi and sauna. |

are a working farm. In consideration of all our guests' comfort, we
also operate a no smoking policy on site. |

| Hendra Farm is located just a twenty minute walk
from the village of Pelynt... |
...a well serviced
and very friendly village
Pelynt has two shops, one with a butcher and the other a Post Office,
a restaurant ’The Dagger’, a traditional country pub ‘The Jubilee
Inn’, two hairdressers and a garage. There is also a church and a
Methodist chapel, both offering regular Sunday services. The parish
church is the resting place of Trelawny, the Cornish hero of the English
Civil War. From Pelynt you can also access bus links to Looe, Polperro
and beyond - public transport guides can be found in all the cottages. |
The nearby picturesque
fishing port of Looe
with its bustling harbour, has a busy calendar of events including
the Festival of the Sea and the Jazz Festival, both in May. There
are regular exhibitions, concerts, a regatta and an annual carnival
and numerous local ’foody’ events. There's a range of fishing and
boat trips and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars close to the
trawler-lined quays. For those visiting out of season, the town's
New Year's Eve celebrations with fancy dress, are reckoned to be amongst
the best in Britain. |
