Trevethoe Farm comprises
some 300 acres and is mainly arable, specialising in cereal crops and cattle.
It is situated one mile from the main St Ives road and is approached by either
of two private roads. We are:
* minutes from the beautiful Carbis Bay and Lelant beaches
* Approx. 1 mile from nearest supermarket/garage/post office/pub/trains/buses
* 3 miles from the town of St lves
* Approximately 1 mile from Hayle Estuary - a popular place for birdwatchers,
and one of the most important RSPB nature reserves in the country for migrant
and wintering birds.
* Within easy reach of many holiday attractions
* Facilities are nearby for bike hire/horse riding/golf/fly fishing and much more
There are many walks along our beautiful coastline, with beaches and coves to
explore and lovely views to behold. In fact we are within easy reach of the coastal
footpath which takes you on a picturesque route to St Ives. Or for a more rural
perspective, walk from here to the top of Trencrom Hill and take in
the views which stretch for miles. If you don't feel like going far, you are welcome
to wander around Trevethoe and observe a working farm in action, as well as enjoy
the scenery on your doorstep.
The varying seasons bring a changing landscape here, from freshly ploughed fields
to acres of golden, swaying corn. Cattle can be found grazing often just over
the wall from the cottages!
Trevethoe is a perfect holiday destination for those who appreciate peace and
quiet and the countryside, and is an ideal base for walkers, birdwatchers or those
who just want to get away from it all for a few days. During school holidays,
Trevethoe provides suitable accommodation for families with children over 5 who
want a rural location, but without being too far from beaches/attractions.
