Grooms and Horseshoe are a pair of semi-detached granite cottages and are virtually identical in layout and furnishings. Originally built for the farm workers, they have undergone total renovation and have been modernised to a high standard, yet still retain much of the original character.
We have been providing holiday accommodation at Trevethoe for over 20 years, and the cottages are personally supervised by the whole family with great emphasis being placed on cleanliness and comfort.

Each cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 people.
The accommodation is as follows for either cottage:
- 2 Entrance halls
- Wifi
- Fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker/fridge-freezer/microwave/washing machine together with ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils
- Lounge with LCD digital TV and DVD player as well as comfortable leather sofas
- Separate dining area
- Downstairs bathroom with WC, wash-basin and shower as well as shaver socket and heater
- 1 Double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms upstairs - all duvets/pillows/bed linen provided
- Heating in every room
- Night storage heaters available from 1st September to 1st May (available on request and at additional charge of £10 per week during other months)
- Hairdryer, iron and ironing board provided
- Ample parking adjacent to properties
- Large gardens with garden furniture
- Electricity included in price
- Towels available on request
- Friday changeover (short breaks available off peak)

Lelant is a small village between Hayle and St Ives, and whilst Trevethoe Farm Cottages are in a rural location, you are only a few minutes' drive from the local beaches of Carbis Bay and Lelant. Indeed within a 2 mile radius from here there is a supermarket, a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes, train and bus stops.
We are 3 miles from the quaint town of St Ives with its cobbled streets, award-winning restaurants, wonderful shops and art galleries including the Tate.
The market town of Hayle is also close by and has 3 miles of golden, sandy beaches towards Gwithian, as well as the Hayle Estuary which is a popular place for birdwatchers.
We are only a 5 minutes' drive from the main A30, which gives you easy access to many other attractions in the area, such as Land's End, St Michael's Mount, the Minack Open Air Theatre as well as the Eden Project and the cathedral city of Truro.

There are many walks along our beautiful coastline; in fact we are within easy reach of the coastal footpath which takes you on a picturesque route to St Ives. Or for a more rural perspective, walk from the farm to the top of Trencrom Hill and take in the views which stretch for miles.
Or just enjoy the scenery right on your doorstop within the 300 acres of Trevethoe Farm, where the varying seasons bring a changing landscape; from freshly ploughed fields to acres of golden, swaying corn as well as cattle grazing in the pastureland - often just over the wall from the cottages.
