| The Old Dairy is a self catering
holiday home created for 2 people to share the joy of Cornwall
in luxury. |
| Originally used to store dairy
products for distribution in the Land's End region it has been
tastefully converted to provide a secluded retreat yet still
offers the security of being within the grounds of a large detached
house with uninterrupted privacy and open views of this tip
of the peninsula. |
| It is the most westerly holiday
self catering destination in England - just 1/4 mile from Land’s
End itself. There are breathtaking sea views over the Atlantic
to the Scilly Isles from your lounge and to Wolf Rock lighthouse,
protecting entrance to the English Channel, from your bedroom.
Breath in the purest of air while watching ships sail both seas
from your own suntrap patio. Here you are within easy reach
of the best beaches in Britain and in the perfect base to explore
the wonders and enjoy the hospitality of this unique area of
Cornwall. |

| About the Area |
| Although most of the locations
shown here are within a short drive from the Old Dairy they
are also all within walking distance using the South West coastal
path, just on your doorstep. |
| Beaches |
| The nearest beach, just 5 minutes
drive - or 15 minutes spectacular walk along the coast path
- is Sennen Cove or Whitesand Bay. Here is one of the finest
beaches in the UK with golden sand and all year surfing. |
| Nanjizal, or Mill Bay can only
be reached on foot, but the 30 min. walk from the Old Dairy
is worth it. Seals are often spotted here and the memory of
this cove will always typify Cornwall at its unique best. |

 |
| Sennen & Gwynver Beaches |
Nanjizal Bay |
|
| A little further afield, approx.
10 minutes drive, is Porthcurno. Walking down to the turquoise
sea of this sandy cove anyone could be forgiven for thinking
they were on some idyllic Greek island - especially when confronted
with the amphitheatre backdrop of the open air Minack Theatre,
which is carved into the adjacent cliff. |
| Nearby Attractions |
| Penzance is 20 minutes drive
away. From here you can sail or fly (by helicopter) to the Isles
of Scilly. Alternatively there are scheduled flights from Land’s
End’s own airport. |
| The coastline here is dominated
by St Michael’s Mount – either walk over the causeway at low
tide or take a ferry – it has to be visited. |
 |
 |
 |
| St Michael’s Mount |
Trebah Gardens |
|
| St Ives - a 30 minutes drive
away - is also a browser/diners haven but still has a vibrant
artistic community with the Tate St Ives establishing international
recognition. |
| There is a wealth
of gardens and houses worth visiting in the area. From Trengwainton
in Penzance to Trebah and Glendurgan on the Helford river. |
