| Situated in a quiet rural location midway
between St Ives and Penzance in the narrow neck of land that joins the
Lands End peninsula to the rest of Cornwall, Higher Chellew is ideally
placed for exploring the peninsula and as a base for visiting all the
other attractions of West Cornwall. Approached by a private well-maintained lane, the stone-built cottages are converted from our old farm buildings and are set in landscaped grounds in an idyllic elevated location with far-reaching views over the countryside and a distant view of the sea. Just a short walk down the lane reveals a panoramic view of Mounts Bay and St Michaels Mount. Four cottages are available, all furnished to a high standard, presented in immaculate condition and ideal for couples and young families. Pets are welcome subject to prior approval. The owners’ 150 year old Farmhouse is adjacent (Chellew, incidentally, is old Cornish for “House of the Calf”) and we are always available for help and advice. Cottage Accessibility Statement: Our cottages are all on one level, 30 meters from car parking area and laundry facilities. The door widths are all standard sizes. All footpahts surrounding the site are gravel. The paddock garden fronting the cottages is all grass and shrubbery. The patio areas to each cottage are concrete paving areas. |
