Gwithian beach is recognised as one of the best
beaches in the country. Situated in St. Ives Bay with 3 miles of
sand, surf and rock pools. It is an unspoilt clifftop area with
a number of different privately owned properties. National Trust
cliff walks from the end of the beach lead to Hells Mouth and Portreath
- and seals can often be seen in the coves below. Surfers come her
from all over the country, and visitors can hire surfing equipment
from the local cafe.
Penzance, Falmouth, Helford and Truro are easily
reached - and St. Ives has many excellent restaurants. Large M&S
7 minutes away.
'Seascape' is overlooking the beach and has been
awarded a 3 star rating by the English Tourist Board for 2006 for
its high standard of accommodation. At the front there is a paved
patio with tables and chairs facing the sea, with farmland at the
rear.
