Star Gazing at Court Farm

Voted by Sunday Times as one of the Top 100 places to visit in Europe.
Star Gazing featured in November 2004's Cornwall Today magazine.
To complement our three two-bedroomed cottages (all high standard) - and 20 camping pitches, we now have an astronomy facility. We have a 9.5" Newtonian Reflector telescope. It is sited in a 4-acre field (150 yards from the cottages) with low light pollution. Our 'on-site expert' is Brian Sheen, (Roseland Observatory), who by arrangement will give lectures on topics relevant to the time of year.

We have a lecture room seating 40, for regular evening talks, film shows and handling of meteorite and moon samples, followed by star-gazing when darkness falls. We also have the only ground-based Solar Observatory in the U.K. Daytime children Activity days are run to meet demand .
