Cornish Holiday Cottages, a family run business, was started in 1977 by Mrs Ruth Austen and comprised of three cottages and one luxury house in a small village south of Falmouth. At present there are approximately 50 individual cottages, houses, flats, bungalows and chalets to choose from and this number is kept to around 50 so that we can offer a very personal service. Many of these are much loved second homes. All of the properties we offer are in a ten mile radius of Falmouth, including the Helford River area and the pretty villages of Mawnan Smith, Port Navas and Mylor Bridge. Whether you are looking for a waterside apartment in Falmouth, a traditional fisherman's cottage in Durgan, a luxury detached residence in a spectacular creek side location on the Helford River, or a rural, tranquil, getaway from it all property, the chances are that we will have something for you Please browse our easy to navigate website www.cornishholidaycottages.net, or call our friendly staff, with good local knowledge for advice on which property will best suit your holiday requirements. You can now check the cottages' availability online, or if you prefer please call us on 01326 250339 and we will do our best to assist you. We look forward to being of service to you in the future. |
Includes properties that have been inspected and quality graded by the Cornish Tourist Board

A little more about the area we cover: Falmouth has often been called the gem of the Cornish Riviera, and this claim is supported by the town's position at the mouth of the River Fal, with views of the estuary to the east and across the wide sweep of the bay to the south. Falmouth is a sea and fishing port with all the varied marine activity associated with these occupations. Many of the town's shops, restaurants and bars are adjacent to the harbour. Those interested may walk from Falmouth right round the cliff path to the Helford River or take a boat to Flushing or St. Mawes. Information for these trips can be obtained at the Prince of Wales Pier. |

The Helford River is a yachtsman's paradise and boats may be hired for sailing or fishing - this beautiful stretch of water remains completely unspoilt and is a sheltered water. Creeks run off the main river, among them Frenchman's Creek of Daphne du Maurier fame. The village of Helford is as beautiful as the river and a pedestrian ferry crosses the river from Helford Passage For those who seek peace from the hurly-burly of life today, the river provides it, a fact recognised by the naming of part of Port Navas Creek as 'Abraham's Bosom'. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call. |
