Dove Cottage |
|
| Homeleigh Farm lies on the edge of
Chapel Amble - a picturesque village, with its Cornish stone and rendered
cottages, its famed old world inn and restaurant, The Maltsters Arms,
a widely stocked general store and Post Office and a craft shop. All
are within 150 yards of the Farm. |
| At Homeleigh Farm we have two cottages
which are available all year round including Christmas and New Year.
Being built in traditional local style, they are cool in the hot summer
sun and snugly warm during the winter months. |
| Homeleigh Farm is the home of the Rees family,
and living in the Farmhouse means that we are always near at hand
to give help and advice that hopefully will turn your holiday from
a pleasant one into a memorable one. |

a three bedroomed stone built cottage, with its own secluded garden.

They each have their own private garden so pets
are very welcome as well as children of all ages.
We provide cots and highchairs, and we can normally arrange a babysitter
or petsitter on request.
We have a good selection of board games as well as plenty of books,
maps, leaflets and local information on places of interest.
There are washing machines and tumble dryers available in the Farmhouse
Annex. |
| The Farmhouse was built in the 1830's and lies
in six acres of fields and paddocks, all of which are available for
games and are especially good for kite flying, as well as ball games.
There is a barn and a duckpond, but we have no livestock so dogs are
welcome. There are a number of working farms nearby for children (and
parents) to visit. |

| The Local Area |
| Chapel Amble is situated near Wadebridge,
the Camel Estuary and the Atlantic coast in North Cornwall, just a
short distance off the main A39, yet is a retreat from the hustle
and bustle, offering the peace and tranquility of the countryside.
|
| There is easy access to a choice of
fine sandy beaches on the Camel Estuary or small and secluded coves
on the Atlantic Coast, where you can relax and swim in the Gulf Stream;
or play in the rock pools, whilst searching for crabs, mussels and
tiny fish; or see the occasional seal, whale or dolphin basking in
the sun. |
| There is wonderful walking and pony
trekking country over coastal and inland routes, including the North
Cornwall Coastal Path, the vast expanse of Bodmin Moor and The Saints
Way |
| For the less energetic, there are
magnificent country houses such as Lanhydrock and Pencarrow, castles
at Restormel and Pendennis and the Victorian Gothic Cathedral at Truro. |
| Magnificent gardens abound with the
Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock, Victorian Gardens at Longcross
and the Herbary at Hellandbridge. |
|
The Eden Project has become the major attraction in Cornwall .
The biomes provide a superb insight into tropical and sub-tropical
vegetation, and cater for all members of the family. The whole project
is an incredible experience both to see and visit.
