From the second you pull up on the drive, you realise that Chapel View is one of the most outstanding coastal properties in Cornwall. An exceptional, architect-designed detached property, it was completed in March 2006 and the house has now been furnished to create a luxurious, truly individual environment rarely found in a self-catering property. The house is arranged over three levels, with the ground floor hall and first floor landing having solid oak floors. There is also a unique oak and steel cantilever staircase which has been designed specifically for this property. The house sits just above the headland at Carbis Bay and enjoys wonderful views of the beach and the harbour of St Ives beyond. The walk down to the Blue Flag rated beach takes about five minutes (a bit longer coming back!), and the magnificent sands at Porthkidney are but a short walk along the coastal path in the opposite direction. The station, from where you can take the delightful train journey along the water’s edge into St Ives, is within very easy reach, literally about a two minute walk. So, near enough to be as convenient as possible, but far enough away from the trains that they don’t disturb you. |

The property has been equipped and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. We have set out to provide our guests with a truly memorable holiday experience in the hope that they will want to return time and again. The house has four bedrooms and four shower rooms (one with a bath), all with top of the range Villeroy and Boch sanitary ware and Grohe thermostatic showers. Two bedrooms have King Size double beds and two have twins. All bedrooms have TV’s. Start fighting now over who will get the master bedroom, which takes up the whole of the top floor and has the property’s best views of the beach and St Ives. There’s also a 20 to 60 magnification zoom lens spotting scope in the master bedroom in case the dolphins come into the bay, as well as binoculars in the lounge. |

The kitchen is simply fantastic. It has a dishwasher, five ring Siemens gas hob with wok burner, large glass hood extractor, Siemens double oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, and every conceivable piece of equipment you will need during your stay. The magnificent granite worktop and breakfast bar, complete with black leather stools, leads into the spacious dining area, with a smoked glass table which will comfortably seat eight adults. This in turn takes you out onto the balcony to the front of the property overlooking the bay. There is a large lounge with panoramic views across the bay to St Ives. Equipment includes a 32-inch Panasonic Viera digital TV with Freeview and a truly fabulous 1000 watt Panasonic ‘state-of-the-art’ DVD Home Cinema System. Luxurious red leather suite with two three-seater settees and two swivel chairs. Outside there is a very private enclosed rear courtyard garden with an elevated decking area. There are three patio sets dotted around so wherever you find yourself you should be able to sit in the sun and enjoy a quiet drink. |

There is a very well equipped utility area in the integral garage with automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and sink unit. There is parking for up to three cars outside and an integral garage. The tariff includes gas, electricity, linen and a generous supply of towels. Chapel View has been accredited as 5-star by the English Tourist Bureau. Will you want to go home? We don’t think so…. Just a couple of points. Sorry, but we can’t accommodate children under the age of five, and we’d suggest that the property is best suited to families with children over age ten. No pets please, and no smoking. Our previous property in Carbis Bay has been rented out for holidays over the last six years and our guests have returned to us year after year.
