Wendholme
Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage nestling
in the ancient village of Stratton, just 1.5 miles
from the popular seaside town of Bude.
This
old stone cottage provides spacious 2 bedroom accommodation
with facilities to sleep up to six people plus a cot.
It has an enclosed sunny back garden with patio and
BBQ area. It benefits further from having parking
and storage in the form of a large garage. We also
welcome pets.
The
village of Stratton is steeped in history, being mentioned
in the Doomsday records of 1087 and played
an active role in the civil war as a stronghold for
the Royalists.

Today
the village boasts three Public Houses offering a
variety of daytime and evening meals, a convenience
store/Post Office and local fish and chips, all within
easy walking distance of Wendholme Cottage.
The
bustling seaside town of Bude offers a very wide range
of attractions and amenities. With two child friendly
sandy beaches ideal for rock pooling, well renowned
surfing, fantastic fishing, two golf courses, tennis
courts, and leisure centre with swimming pool, Bude
really does offer something for everyone. There are
also excellent shopping facilities including a fishmonger,
several supermarkets and bakeries for those tempting
Cornish Pasties!

The
Lounge
Wendholme
is a deceptive character cottage. It has mains gas fired central
heating with the addition of a wood burning stove in the large
lounge/dining room, also television, DVD and CD/radio system.
There
are beautiful views over the garden and surrounding countryside.
The garden has a lawn, vegetable plot, patio, BBQ and flowerbeds.
The large detached garage is great for both parking and storage.
Pets are welcome!

Kitchen
The
kitchen looks out onto the garden and
surrounding countryside. It is well appointed
with plenty of storage and worktop surfaces,
cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher,
washing machine / dryer.

Bedrooms
There
are two spacious double bedrooms (bedroom
one has a walk in wardrobe).
There is a sofa bed in the lounge, therefore
providing facilities to sleep up to 6,
plus a cot.

the ancient village of Stratton, just
1.5 miles from the popular seaside town
of Bude.
Stratton
lies central to many attractions with
easy access to the A39 trunk Road.
Out
and About
To
the North of Stratton lies Sandy Mouth
Bay, which is a secluded cove with tearoom,
car parking and toilet facilities. Coming
back down the coast you come to Bude,
which offers a choice of two sandy beaches
and a sea pool patrolled by life guards,
ample parking and all amenities. Widemouth
Bay lies just around the coast with its
large sandy beach, car parking, tea room
and toilet facilities. There are lots
of other beaches within an easy drive
of the cottage.
