The Ark is the perfect holiday haven a few minutes walk from the glorious sandy beach at Constantine Bay and 500m from Trevose Golf and Country Club.
The large kitchen diner with a wood burning stove is ideal for jolly evenings around the oak table. Alternatively you can all relax in the comfortable first floor open plan living area which has access to a large balcony with stunning views over the golf course towards Trevose Head. In the master bedroom the kingsize bed is under a large velux window so on a clear night, with the blind raised, you can lie and stargaze. Very romantic!
The walled patio garden is sheltered from the prevailing wind making it an ideal sun trap and outside dining area.
The Ark has never been let before but the owner has been managing holiday properties for twelve seasons so you will be in experienced hands.
Sadly the layout of this property makes it unsuitable for very small children.

Local Area
The Ark is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty five miles (by road) from Padstow, scenic harbour town and great place for excellent restaurants. The Camel Trail (the former railway line from Padstow to the source of the Camel river on Bodmin Moor) is an exciting cycle and walking route. Bikes can be hired in Padstow or Wadebridge. Boat trips leave Padstow daily and there is a ferry across the estuary to Rock.
The local village, St Merryn, has a variety of shops, a post office and petrol station. There is a lovely old church just next to The Cornish Arms public house which is now run by Rick Stein. The Farmer's Arms is our other local and serves good pub grub and hosts quiz nights and live music. There are several restaurants, a Chinese takeaway and a fish and chip shop with dine in area. There is prize bingo in the village hall once a week and this is also the venue for craft markets and sales of local produce.

The north coast of Cornwall is a series of dramatic cliffs and headlands interspersed with sandy bays and beaches. The local parish of St Merryn alone boasts seven bays for seven days.
Constantine Bay is a good base for exploring all of Cornwall from rugged Bodmin Moor to St Ives, Falmouth and Land's End. The Eden Project is an absolute must. There are gardens galore to entertain the green fingered, National Trust properties for the historians, miles of glorious paths for walkers and decent pubs and restaurants to relax in. For golfers there are five courses within an hour's drive and, of course, Trevose 500m away which has an 18 hole course, a 9 hole beginners' course and a further 9 hole course plus a driving range and a clubhouse with restaurant and "the 19th hole".
