Around Coombe Mill
Coombe Mill is a haven for wildlife, including foxes, badgers, owls, buzzards, jays, bats, pheasants and partridges. There are wild brown trout in the stream, and sea trout in season. There is no road or rail noise, only the sound of the stream, so you can completely relax (Remember to bring wellies to walk around the field and stream).
The Mill is an easy 15 - 20min walk to the Maltsters Arms in Chapel Amble - a "good pub guide" listed public house, which serves great food and ales in warm and friendly surroundings. Chapel Amble also has a local Post Office/Shop and art gallery. St Kew, with another excellent pub is 1¼ miles.
