Sandbanks is a dear little blue and white timber beach hut built in the 1920’s, and our very favourite holiday home! It is great fun and much loved by us and our many regular visitors.

It sits among the dunes about 10 minutes’ walk from the wonderful 3 mile stretch of sandy beach at Riviere Towans in Hayle, facing west with sea glimpses across St Ives Bay. We and our four children have had great fun playing with it over the 15 years we have owned it and you will find many special features inside, including a hand made washbasin in the bathroom and a beautiful leaded light window in the hall. It is decorated in the spirit of the beach hut, and as such it has basic accommodation, but hopefully all is comfortable and there is everything you need for a fun seaside holiday.

There is a wide sunny sitting room with 2 single beds and 2 extra mattresses, plus a little dining table and set of inside/outside designer chairs. The private double bedroom has a 4 foot wide built-in cosy bed plus a storage cupboard and hanging space. There is a ‘morning room’, which gets the morning sun, with a dining table and chairs, plus a tv (terrestrial channels only). It has two built-in seating benches which double as children’s bunk beds. The shower room has a shower with curtains, a wash basin on stand and a wc. The kitchen is newly fitted and contains a 4 ring hob, double sink, microwave/combination oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, etc., but no freezer, washing maching nor dishwasher.

We provide a barbeque, windbreak, body boards, picnic hamper, vacuum flask, buckets and spades, etc. at the beiginning of the season. We do not provide linen.

An oil-filled electric radiator is provided, and electricity costs are included. There is lots of parking! Changeover day is Friday, in after 4 pm and out by 10 am, and we are open for 3 weeks over Christmas, and then from Good Friday to the 31st October. Short breaks are available early and late in the season, and a single dog is welcome at a cost of £25 per week.

The tariff is from £125 to £450 per week.
