TOURING CARAVAN AND CAMPING SITE

Well kept personally run site, 2 miles west of Lamorna Cove. Well situated for walking the coastal path, a pretty and unspoilt country lane (no motor vehicles) full of wild flowers, leads you directly onto the coastal path just a 10 minute walk away. Also there is a pretty farm trail, which takes you along the farm track, down into the valley by a pool with a seating area, up through the woods along the farm track to the campsite. This walk is rich in wildlife.

The campsite is well situated for divers, rock climbers and for fishing off the rocks. Many of our campers return year after year. Last year we planted lots of shrubs with trellis fencing, which helps to make areas more sheltered without distracting from the wonderful sea views. This year our main priority is upgrading the toilet block, and showers, with the addition of a separate baby changing facilities. There is ample space for children to play, in a car free zone in the centre of the field, where there is a football net, basketball net, sandpit etc.

Well behaved dogs are welcomed but must be kept under strict supervision and "doggy bins" are provided.

Mousehole, Newlyn, and Penzance are a short drive to the east with St. Micheal's Mount the 'jewel in the crown" at Marazion well worth a visit. The pretty unspoilt fishing cove of Penberth and the sandy beaches of Pen-de-vounder ( one of the most beautiful beaches, ever seen ) Porthcurno, famous for the Minack open air theatre, which nestles on the cliffs above the beach. The lovely beaches of secluded Porthchapel, the small sandy fishing cove of Porthgwarra, with its wonderfull, clifftop walks, are just along the coast to the west. Sennen Cove and Gwenver famous for its golden sands and the superb surfing is approx. 4 miles away on the Atlantic coast.

In the area are many Antiquities "Merry Maidens" an ancient stone circle, just a mile away, Lanyon Quoit, Men-an-tol, Chysauster stone age village, to name but a few are all in a radius of 10 miles.

Some large houses with beautifull gardens, open to the public, which are at their best during the spring months, and in Cornwall spring arrives early and winter arrives late. The famous Eden project is approx.an hours car journey away.

The campsite has a well kept shower and toilet block with separate shower rooms, laundry room with automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and hair dryers. Deep sinks for washing dishes/clothes, hot water is not meterede Deep freeze for use of campers to store frozen goods.

There is a chemical disposal point, a public telephone, small onsite shop selling essentials and Calor Gas. The pitches are well maintained and are spacious, tents as well as caravans all have their own pitches so no overcrowding but families and groups can share pitches. We have some electric hook-ups, which you are well advised to book in advance.
