Elm Farm is a smallholding in the West of Cornwall, set in a peaceful valley close to the rugged Cornish coast. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife and many beautiful coastal and country walks in this area. The coast to coast Mineral Tramway cycle path goes right past our door, and provides safe cycling for all ages.

We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation, camping and cycle hire, on a old 16th Century farm which is situated in a rural area amongst cows, sheep, goats, chickens and pigs.

Close to the coastal villages of Portreath and Porthtowan, this is an ideal base for hikers and birdwatchers, or those who just want to relax in the handsome Cornish countryside. It is also within easy striking distance of many of Cornwall's attractions including the famous Eden Project, St. Ives Tate gallery and countless more.

CAMPING & CARAVANNING

Our site is spacious, level and a whole field back from the road. There are basic facilities - drinking water in the field and a WC and emptying point at the farm - however it is an extremely peaceful location, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Please note: as yet we have no shower facilities.

The campsite is sheltered at the bottom of the valley and surrounded by trees. This means that you are likely to see lots of birds and other wild life during your stay.

Hire a cycle and to go to the nearby beach on the a new cycle track which runs from Devoran to Portreath right past the farm.

Out of peak season we can supply a hearty farmhouse all day breakfast (24 hours notice required) and or direct you to excellent local pubs, restaurants and pasty shops. Failing that some local take-aways have been known to deliver to the campsite!

THE CORNISH MINERAL TRAMWAYS
The Cornish Mineral Tramways are a network of dismantled ancient railways and tramways, giving cyclists of all ages and abilities miles and miles of Cornwalls stunning countryside, unspoilt by development, and safely away from heavy traffic. Some trails are flat and smooth (e.g. Coast to Coast), and others are more technically demanding, with interesting fast descents, but all offer rides for all abilities and fitness levels.

Elm Farm has provided an authentic slice of rural Cornish life for hundreds of guests over the years. If you're trying to get away from it all, one afternoon watching someone trying to herd stubborn farm animals might persuade you that the stresses of the city aren't really quite so bad after all. Mind you, the kids will love it!
