Costislost Farm is a historic and peaceful manor house situated in spacious grounds within a woodland setting 3 miles from the Cornish town of Wadebridge and 7 miles from a range of beautiful white sandy beaches suitable for sailing, swimming and surfing. It is tucked away from the main road and approached by a private driveway lined with rhodedendrons, offering the discerning guest the pleasures of peace and seclusion amidst hills, fields and woods.

A bridleway links the property to the Camel Trail which follows the Estuary all the way to Padstow on the coast – perfect for walking, mountain biking or hiring cycles. There are also local stables for horse riding, and a host of nearby picturesque village pubs and quality restaurants for those who would rather take things a little easier!

The farm produces wholesome beef for local markets, whilst small by modern standards animals are cared for and well treated. Guests are welcome to enjoy seasonal activities such as calving in the spring and harvesting in the summer if they so wish. Enhancement of the property is always at the forefront of our minds and we have recently restored a neglected Victorian wildlife pond, which includes a pump house and buttery in a beautiful wooded and secluded setting at the edge of the lawn. The property has also been recently redecorated throughout.

We have two beautiful rooms for B&B each with their own special features. Both are located on the first floor and are accessed by the main entrance via the grand staircase. The first, a double room with far ranging views over the gardens and farm land with private bathroom located opposite. This room also benefits from a private ensuite lounge with wood burner to rest in at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The second, a spacious king size four poster room with ensuite bathroom, with original Victorian roll top bath and fireplaces. Farmland views.

Breakfast is served from 8.30 a.m. unless with prior arrangement. Continental or full English options, or perhaps the famous Farmer’s special, are available! Breakfast is served in the farm dining room.
