Colourful Cottage Garden

OUR GARDEN

Our garden has been evolving since 1998. Our wish is to create an environment in which wildlife can thrive alongside colourful cottage garden plants. The wilder areas in the woods are carpeted in spring with snowdrops and bluebells. The kitchen garden provides the freshest and tastiest fruit and vegetables for the dinner table.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES

Whether you stroll through our gardens, relax by the salmon stream or venture out, Polrode Mill Cottage provides a tranquil setting from which to base your holiday.

Whatever the season, Cornwall has much to offer from the rugged seas of wintertime, the snowdrops, primroses and daffodils of spring, then the stately rhodedendrons, followed by bluebells heralding the start of summer. Enjoy the many sandy beaches and coves, beautiful walks of the National Trust coastline, the Camel estuary or Bodmin Moor.

Close by, are the unspoiled fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Boscastle. The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the houses and gardens at Lanhydrock (National Trust) Pencarrow, and Prideaux Place and the mythical castle at Tintagel are only a short drive away.

For those looking for more activity, the Camel estuary is a fine centre for sailing, windsurfing and water skiing and the Camel Trail between Padstow and Bodmin is ideal for cycling. Golfing is enjoyed all year 'round with Trevose, St Kew, Bowood, St Enodoc and Roserrow courses all within easy reach.
