You’ve just arrived in West Cornwall for your holiday; you’ve
stepped out of the car, had a bit of a stretch, taken a deep swig
of fresh Cornish air, and listened to the deafening peace and
quiet.
You’ve opened the front door of what will be your Cornish home
for the next week or two and entered the stables, now the entrance
hall, which once housed the ponies and cart to deliver the local
post.
You’re shown to your room, the hayloft, now the master bedroom,
prettily decorated with Cath Kidston furnishings, the original
A-frame beams and strong granite walls.
Or maybe you’d prefer Cartwright’s, the original loft bedroom
once reached by a ladder, cosy with a comfy bedstead. Ivy’s overlooks
the gardens and enjoys the last rays of the setting sun, just
perfect for those travelling alone or part of a larger group.
Return via the main staircase, once the granite steps to the
hayloft, and now a double storey conservatory, for tea. That’s
what Grove Cottage is offering – a real Cornish welcome.
