| Nance is a working farm and former manor house
now offering B & B accommodation. There are 3 rooms, one of which
can sleep a family. |
| Nance, Nans in Cornish, means valley. It is positioned
between two streams just 20 minutes’ walk from the sea through a picturesque
bluebell wood of SSSI status. It is a peaceful and spacious setting
in an ideal location to visit all parts of Cornwall. Portreath is
the local beach offering sand and surf. There are various other beaches
within easy reach and a local sports centre with water slides. |

| If you feel adventurous you can hire
a bike from a neighbouring farm and cycle along a former
tramway from north to south coast. Alternatively you could
have surfing lessons or walk the the coastal footpath
enjoying superb views. |

| Around the farm there are chickens
to feed, cattle and sheep to view, ponds, woods and an
iron-age round. |

| Tariffs and Further Information |

Charges are £25.00 per adult per night.
There is, however, a supplement of £2.50 for one night
in a single bed. A full English breakfast is included
or various alternatives. We are sure you will not be disappointed!

| Location |
|
| Nance is between Portreath, Bridge
and Illogan. It is easily reached by walkers form the
coastal footpath at Portreath by following the stream
up the valley through Illogan Woods. It is on a bus route
(Illogan Churchtown being the nearest stop). Redruth Railway
Station is three miles away and the National Express Coach
stops there too and even closer. By car there is a choice
of exits from the A30 but if you take the Redruth / Portreath
/ Treasure Park turn off head towards Portreath and Treasure
Park (B3300). Go past the Treasure Park and take the first
left after the garage in Bridge. (The Bridge Inn will
be immediately on your right). Go up the hill, take the
first right then the next right and another right immediately.
You will then be on Nance Lane. Illogan Village Hall is
on your left and on the wall in front of you is the name
‘Nance’. Go down the drive and when you come to the gravel
area you will see the gateway and house. |
