West Cornwall is an area of outstanding natural beauty and
has many fine sandy beaches and rocky coves. The scenery varies
from wooded valleys to wild moorland and rugged cliffs.
It is an area rich in history with stone circles and megaliths,
and the engine houses of the tin-mining era.
It is famous for its art galleries, festivals, craft shops and
potteries as well as its splendid sub-tropical gardens.
Penzance is also the departure point for the Isles of Scilly either
by boat or helicopter from Penzance, or by air from Land's End.
