"Penleen” is a small and friendly family run B&B, personally supervised by the owners. This 18th century cottage is near the centre of the ancient village of Goldsithney and within a conservation area. Both the spacious but cosy bedrooms are tastefully furnished with good beds and easy chairs, remote colour TV and several extras such as radio/alarm, hairdryer, tissues and hot drinks tray. There are smoke alarms throughout and the property is centrally heated. There is a varied breakfast menu using fresh local ingredients whenever possible and special diets can be catered for. Our charges are reasonable and we have a 3 Diamond Rating from South West Tourism and a 3 Red Diamond award from the AA. Come and sample our B&B in a delightful atmosphere where you can relax and unwind. Parking is in Penleen’s private grounds.

Twin Bedroom - The twin room overlooks an interesting mature garden and has a peaceful and pleasant outlook. There is an en-suite power shower, toilet and wash basin.
Double Bedroom - The double room has exposed beams and is situated at the front of the house. It has its own washbasin and there is a private adjoining luxury bathroom with power shower, toilet and wash basin.
Rear Garden - with several sub-tropical shrubs, collected from the gardens at Tresco (Isles of Scilly). More than 15 species of wild birds are regularly seen in our garden as well as seasonal visitors.

Penleen Goldsithney
A charming 18th century cottage

Goldsithney is 5 miles from Penzance and 1 mile from the beach at Perranuthnoe. It is a convenient location for access to the Eden Project, St Michael’s Mount, St Ives, and the Cornwall coastal path or for exploring the Lands End and Lizard peninsulas.

Evening meals are available at the two village pubs which are within close walking distance. There is also a Chinese Restaurant ½ mile away, and another pub in Perranuthnoe, 1 mile away.

Other attractions in the area include: The gardens of Trengwainton, Trevarno, Trebah and Glendurgan. Godolphin House, Penlee House (Museum and Gallery) and The Tate Gallery South West, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, and the National Seal Sanctuary. Minack Open Air Theatre and the Acorn Arts Centre. Perranuthnoe Beach, Praa Sands and Hayle Beach, Flambards Theme Park, Poldark and Geevor Mines and many more.

Travel all the way down the A30 passing through the village of Crowlas, about 4 miles east of Penzance. You will then see St Michael's Mount ahead of you. At the next roundabout turn left on the A394 towards Helston. At the next roundabout turn left on the B3280 into the village of Goldsithney. Turn first right into South Road. (If you pass two pubs you have gone too far). Penleen is the second house on the left, opposite the old school.
 

2007 Accommodation Rates

"Penleen" is a non-smoking haven offering comfortable and spacious bedrooms, tasteful decor, off-road parking and a substantial breakfast (using fresh, local ingredients wherever possible). We also cater for special diets.

Our charges until 31st March 2007 are:-
£25.00/person/night based on two sharing
£35.00/night for single occupancy of the double or twin room (when available)
From 1st April 2007 are:-
£27.50/person/night based on two sharing
£40.00/night for single occupancy of the double or twin room (when available)
 
We regret that we are unable to accept credit or debit cards.
 
Penleen Bed and Breakfast is open all year round except Christmas and New Year
