our recently refurbished 200 year old traditional Cornish
cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing stay. |
| Surrounded by the historical mining
countryside of West Cornwall, Benson's is ideally situated
to enjoy the walkways, cycle routes and the heritage
of this beautiful part of the UK. |
| With en-suite to all rooms, tea/coffee
making facilities, plus off road parking and secure
storage for bicycles, Sue and Mike, along with their
enthusiastic greeters Ben and Cassie, look forward to
welcoming you to their home. |
| Benson's is situated on the edge
of the old tin mining villages of Carharrack and St
Day close to the Gwennap section of the Cornish Mining
World Heritage site. |
| A 10 minute drive brings you to the
surfing beaches of Porthtowan and Portreath. Newquay's
famous beaches are just 30 minutes away. |
| At the end of your busy day, a fine
glass of ale or wine, with a serving of excellent food
can be enjoyed at one or more of the local pubs. |
| Benson's double bedrooms are furnished
and decorated to a high standard with your comfort in
mind. Each room is en-suite with a power shower. One
room overlooks the front garden and enjoys the morning
sun. From the other, views across the fields and, if
you are lucky, you can spot our local buzzard resting
on the pole in the field behind us – or is he eying
up a rabbit for dinner? |

- in really good weather - breakfast can be served.

| Breakfast is normally served between
8am and 9am in our light and spacious dining room. Fresh
and locally sourced produce, wherever possible, is used
in our breakfasts. |

| Benson's is within easy reach of
many beautiful beaches leaving you spoilt for choice
whether you are looking to chill on the beach, swim
in the sea, or be more energetic and enjoy the exhilaration
of surfing. |
| There are a number of pubs nearby
which serve good food. We have sample menus in Benson's
to help whet your appetite. |
| The Cornish Way, the best way to
see this is on a bicycle! At Benson's we have secure
storage if you bring your own cycles, but you can also
hire them from Bissoe Tramways who offer a delivery
service. Please ask us for more details. |
