HISTORY
The building was previously known as Seabirds Holiday Flats. Built in 1912 as a private house, it was converted into holiday flats in 1967. Incredibly, these newly converted flats shared communal bathrooms and loos - there were 3 of each on the first floor, and 3 of each in the back addition. On the plans, at least one of the six flats is described as a "six berth"! If anyone remembers the building in those days and has a tale to tell, we'd love to hear it. Various ad hoc alterations must have been made over the years, and when we bought the property in 2000 there were 7 flats, in very poor condition.
