This view from the harbour wall shows the commanding position of Seabirds House, which is why the views from the house are so spectacular. The fishermen's cottages of the Downlong area are on the slopes of the hill below us. The Tate Gallery, which fronts onto Porthmeor beach, is also very close. Along the harbour front, and just behind it on Fore Street, are many restaurants and interesting small shops.
