The Harbour / Downalong

Midships is situated in a prime position directly on the Wharf. The bustling Harbour is home to many fishing boats that bring in quality catches of local fish that you will find in many of the restaurants. St Ives is an ancient fishing town and the old fishing quarters around the Harbour, is the older and more attractive part of St Ives, is known as Downalong.
The Downalong area is the heart and soul of St Ives with its picturesqe Harbour and abundance of fisherman's cottages lining the maze of cobbled streets and it's close proximity to 3 of the main beaches (Harbour beach, Porthgwidden and Porthmeor).
Midships is popular with holiday makers due to its excellent waters edge position - the Harbour beach is right on your doorstep and you're only a stones throw from the shops, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and artists' studios........and just a few stumbling paces away from one of Cornwalls oldest and most famous pubs - The Sloop Inn and minutes from the world famous Tate St Ives.

Lounge/Dining area, very bright and airy south facing spacious room with a large bay window overlooking the Harbour.
This offers magnicent panoramic views of St Ives town, the entire Harbour, Smeatons Pier and across towards Porthminster Beach, Hayle Towans and beyond... An ideal place to just sit with a glass of wine and watch the world go by.
This spacious room is comfortably furnished with a fabric 3 seater sofa bed, 2 fabric armchairs and a wooden nest of tables. There is also a widescreen LCD TV with Freeview.
If you prefer to dine in, rather than eat out, the dining area has a wooden folding table with 4 chairs. (there are 2 further chairs in the lounge cupboard).
Kitchen, fitted, modern and well equipped with appliances, including electric oven and ceramic hob, extractor/cooker hood and microwave. There is also a fridge with ice box.
Master Bedroom with 4ft 6 divan bed, shelves with bedside lamps. Large wooden chest of drawers, and a very large built in wardrobe with hanging space.
