Magnificent sea view: Three double bedrooms, all en-suite This spacious late Victorian apartment enjoys an enviable, elevated position with panoramic views overlooking the beautiful, unspoiled Fowey Estuary and out to the open sea. Its south-facing aspect makes it an ideal location for all year round holidays.
The property comprises: Lounge/dining room – this large (30ft.long) room faces the river /sea giving delightful views from the bay window, which has cushioned seating. It has a television, DVD, video, some books and games for use by guests. There is a telephone to receive incoming calls and free to use for local outgoing calls. In the original fireplaces are two ‘living-flame’ gas fires. Kitchen – well equipped with electric cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and ample crockery and cutlery. Utility room – housing washing machine, small dryer, iron, ironing board etc. as well as the boiler for the central heating system. Master Bedroom – a large double room again benefiting from the same spectacular sea views as the lounge. The bay window also has cushioned seating. There are fitted wardrobes along one wall. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower, wash hand basin, W.C. Bedroom 2 – with double bed, large fitted wardrobe; en-suite with shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC Bedroom 3 – has two full-size twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC
Outside is a large terrace with garden furniture, perfect for dining or simply enjoying the view. Steps lead down through a pretty terraced garden to the road. Small children should be closely supervised in this area. The apartment is available all year round. Small parties and short breaks may be catered for outside the peak summer months.
Bed linen is provided but please bring own towels. The attractions of Fowey: Situated at the mouth of the River Fowey is the charming, quaint town of Fowey. Its lack of commercialisation, narrow streets, the busy harbour and wonderful views over countryside and out to the open sea make it irresistible to visitors. In addition to its reputation for excellent sailing there are many other attractions to suit all tastes. Local amenities include fishing and river trips, four nearby golf courses, a very good leisure centre with outdoor swimming pool and numerous walks, such as The Hall Walk, Saints Way and the miles of coastal paths to appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding area. There are several National Trust Properties and Gardens close by including Heligan as well as the world famous Eden Project only a few miles away.
The town has a great selection of places to eat to suit everyone; good quality restaurants,pubs and take-aways are all in Fowey as well as an excellent range of essential and specialist shops. The annual Daphne du Maurier literary festival is held in May and ever popular Fowey Regatta takes place in August. |
