Carbis Bay is approximately 1 mile from St Ives and is becoming
very popular with visitors. Parking is easy with most properties
having their own spaces and it is only a few minutes walk to Carbis
Bay’s own beautiful sandy beach, which is safe for children and
features a restaurant, shop & toilets. Further parking is also available
near the beach.
There is a railway station with trains running from St Erth to
St Ives alongside the coastal path. Local facilities include buses,
shops, bars and restaurants. Walkers will enjoy visiting St Ives
via the coastal path. However, it is only a few minutes by bus,
train, taxi or car. St Ives bay is an ideal base from which you
may visit the rest of Cornwall. A short drive will bring you to
Lands End. The Lizard and many other quaint and interesting places
lie within easy reach. There are plenty of sporting activities available
in the area such as surfing, windsurfing, jet skiing, fishing, golf,
tennis, squash, horse riding and pony trekking. St Ives Leisure
Centre offers an indoor swimming pool and gymnasium. You could also
treat yourself or the children to a day out at one of our many theme
parks.
