The Garden Place
The Garden Place is on the lower floor of 'Penagar' house (part of an 1850's manor house built for an Indian Prince). The large private sunny garden has stunning panoramic views over the Jordan Valley and provides an idyllic and tranquil setting for your stay in Boscastle.

The Accommodation

The accommodation comprises:

  • Well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room with a dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, fridge and electric cooker. Views across the Jordan valley from the kitchen window.

  • Spacious bathroom, with an electric shower over the bath and shaver point.
  • The bedroom has a double bed and is equipped with a radio/clock alarm and hairdryer. Views from the window across the Jordan Valley.
  • Sitting/dining room retains the original slate fireplace surround with a wood-burning stove. It also has a comfortable chair and 3-seater sofa, a television, video and Radio/Cassette/CD player. A French door opens into the conservatory from which the garden, views and visiting wildlife can be enjoyed.

    The dining area (not shown in the photograph) has an oak-leg dining table, pine dresser and also the concealed wall pull-down double bed.
Lounge

There is central heating in all the rooms and the decor and furnishings are of a high standard, which aim to provide comfortable and cosy accommodation throughout the year.

Outside there is a patio, swing-seat and a private terraced garden for guests to enjoy. Private car parking for one car.

Guests are provided with bed linen, towels and a welcome pack on arrival.

Views

A short stroll takes you to a choice of good pubs and restaurants and the village has a bakery, post office, grocery stores and some excellent gift shops and galleries. A 5-minute walk from The Garden Place will take you to the superb coastal footpath.

Please note: Access to The Garden Place is by a series of steps - this may make it unsuitable for the elderly or infirm and children under the age of 7.
